The Arnold & Son Globetrotter Steel chronicles a journey around the world through its inspired cartographic dial design. Within a 45mm steel case beats the in-house A&S6022 automatic caliber, manufactured and decorated entirely at the brand's workshops.
A distinctive arched bridge composed of satin-finished chords spans the dial, hosting a detailed map of the Northern Hemisphere rendered in meticulous craftsmanship. Continents are rhodium-plated and polished, while mountain ranges stand out in a matte texture. Vast oceans are hand-painted with multiple layers of blue lacquer enriched with mother-of-pearl for subtle depth.
Protected by a domed sapphire crystal, the dial depicts shorelines distinguished further at night by luminous accents. Two versions are available - one with a sunburst blue dial limited to 88 pieces, the other with a silver-white dial.
Beneath the arched sapphire caseback, the skeletonized oscillating weight exhibits the movement's NAC treatment for an anthracite hue complementing the steel case. Finishing techniques like Côtes de Genève patterns, pearl-blasted components and polished screws ornament the caliber.
Sporting a balanced aesthetic of refined yet robust construction, the Globetrotter Steel allows travelers to easily read the time across various time zones. Its slender arched bridge profile paired with integrated lugs offer ergonomic wearability.
Bringing to life centuries of British marine chronometer expertise, the watch encapsulates Arnold & Son's dedication to detailed world maps and fine watchmaking traditions. Both a conversation piece and functional travel aid, the Globetrotter Steel bridges cultures through the passion of precision horology.
