Romain Gauthier is a luxury Swiss watchmaker founded in 2005 and based in Le Sentier, Switzerland - the historic heart of Swiss watchmaking known as the Vallée de Joux.
Led by CEO and visionary watch designer Romain Gauthier, the brand is renowned for its innovative in-house movements, exceptional craftsmanship, and eye-catching yet functional timepiece designs.
Born and raised in the Vallée de Joux, Gauthier developed a passion for precision engineering and watchmaking from a young age. After honing his skills producing components, he embarked on the challenge of designing and manufacturing his own watches and calibers from scratch.
Operating autonomously allows Gauthier complete creative freedom to realize his technically advanced yet aesthetically pleasing visions. Every aspect of Romain Gauthier timepieces, from movement design to finishing, is developed and produced in-house at the brand's purpose-built manufacture.
Limited annual production and focus solely on mechanical timepieces has earned Romain Gauthier the recognition of being a haute horlogerie purveyor of exceptional quality. Gauthier's groundbreaking creations exemplify a balance of innovation, traditional craftsmanship, and purposeful design.
As an independent brand dedicated to mechanical watchmaking excellence, Romain Gauthier continues to reveal their talent for pushing the boundaries of horological artistry under the leadership of its founder. Each timepiece bears the distinct signatures of Gauthier's unique engineering philosophy and aesthetic vision.
The C by Romain Gauthier in titanium presents a sophisticated grey dial housed within an integrated design of lustrous Grade 5 titanium. The off-centered hours and minutes hands glide smoothly across the sandblasted dial, complemented by a small seconds subdial at the 7 o'clock position marked by tapered colored lines. Within the faceted bezel and caseband are glimpses of the in-house manual-winding movement, featuring Romain Gauthier's characteristic curved-arm balance and tastefully decorated bridges, plate and gears. Light on the wrist thanks to the titanium construction, it is equally comfortable strapped to any size wrist using the generously-linked integrated bracelet, whose polished facets and brushed surfaces echo those of the case. With an 60-hour power reserve from a single winding, the C by Romain Gauthier delivers refined modernist aesthetics and fine detailing befitting the high standards of Swiss watchmaking.
