Hand Made 2

The Greubel Forsey Hand Made 2 represents the apex of artisanal watchmaking, a creation in which 96% of its 270 components are crafted entirely by hand, requiring an extraordinary 5,000–6,000 hours of work to complete. Built using traditional tools such as precision lathes, jig‑borers, and pantographs, the timepiece embodies a transparent and uncompromising definition of “hand made,” with only a handful of elements—like sapphire crystals and gaskets—produced by modern means. Its architecture blends 18th‑century elegance and contemporary technical mastery, featuring hand‑frosted German silver, Grand Feu enamel dials, five distinct artisanal finishes, and a remarkable handcrafted conical jewel developed for the power-reserve mechanism. Produced in extremely small numbers—only two to three pieces per year—the Hand Made 2 stands as a rare testament to pure horological artistry, offering a level of finishing, precision, and coherence that few modern timepieces can match.
