Three years ago, independent watchmaker Andreas Strehler launched his new brand, Strehler, to present his philosophy and craftsmanship in a more accessible form. The first model, Sirna, was designed as an essential time‑only watch that distilled his precision, expertise, and uncompromising finishing. The second model, Säntis, takes the brand naturally into the realm of complications. Like Sirna, which was named after the town Sirnach, Säntis draws its name from the mountain near Strehler’s workshop, the highest peak of the Appenzell Alps.

World Time Concept & Crown Operation
Responding to a collector’s request and inspired by his earlier Sauterelle Heure Mondiale, Strehler created a world time watch that remains elegant, intuitive, and deeply personal. Säntis uses a Cottier‑style world time display operated entirely by a single three‑position crown—preserving design purity and simplicity. The 40 mm medical‑grade stainless‑steel case blends refinement with ergonomics and stays below 10 mm thick even with the added mechanism.

Titanium Dial & Time Zone Display
The titanium dial features a sculptural three‑dimensional texture, individually machined, engraved, and hand‑polished. Its pattern is adapted from a design created with Eric Giroud for Sirna. Surrounding it, the 24‑hour ring marks day and night and rotates once per day, aligning with a fixed city ring listing 24 time zones. Central European Time is indicated by “Strehler” rather than a city, and DST‑observing cities are marked with a sun symbol. Both the city disc and 24‑hour disc use luminous printing, with additional luminous dots along the minute track.

Colour Options, Hands & Movement

Its steel pin buckle is crafted in‑house, echoing the case’s lines. The watch is delivered in a beechwood box with a cognac leather travel pouch. While not limited, production is naturally restricted due to the fully in‑house manufacturing of cases, dials, hands, and movements, resulting in only 30–50 watches per year shared between Sirna and Säntis.

Rather than utilizing a traditional dial, the watch seamlessly integrates three precise apertures into the sculpted gold scene. The passage of time is visually poetized: the jumping hour appears in Chronos’ scythe at 12 o'clock, the sweeping minute disc flows through the upper chamber of the hourglass, and the continuous seconds rotate below in the lower chamber. Encircling the entire case and printed inside the black nubuck strap is a classic Greek meander pattern, an ancient symbol representing eternity and the infinite flow of time

At the heart of this handless digital regulator is the hand-wound Chronoswiss Caliber C.85757, equipped with an in-house developed jumping hour module. Visible through the rectangular sapphire crystal caseback, the movement operates at 3 Hz with a 48-hour power reserve and features exquisite rhodium plating, radial Côte de Genève, and hand-guilloché wheel bridges executed in Lucerne. Completed with a 5N gold pin buckle (4g), every technical detail underscores the brand's commitment to expressive high horology.

Strictly limited to only 33 pieces worldwide, each Neo Digiteur Chronos requires weeks of painstaking hand engraving, ensuring no two pieces are ever completely identical. As a rare fusion of ancient mythology, traditional hand craftsmanship, and avant-garde watchmaking, this collector’s creation represents a mechanical myth carved in gold. The year 2026 marks a historic milestone for the Moritz Grossmann manufactory in Glashütte, as it celebrates the 200th birthday of its visionary founder and namesake, born on March 27, 1826. A genius watchmaker, scientist, author, and initiator of the German Watchmaking School, Grossmann profoundly shaped the craft of horology and the fate of his hometown. Rather than merely imitating historical concepts, the modern manufactory honors his legacy by blending his cutting-edge philosophy with modern engineering. This dedication to technological perfection and exceptional aesthetics cements its place among the world's elite elite watchmakers.

To commemorate this bicentennial occasion, the brand has unveiled its third anniversary special edition: the TEFNUT Silver-Plated by Friction. Debuting on April 29, 2026, this launch presents an exclusive premiere for collectors—the very first time that the sleek TEFNUT model is made available in a stunning 750/000 yellow gold case, alongside a 750/000 white gold version. Both variations pay homage to their heritage by incorporating an "1826" engraving on the balance cock and showcasing a vintage 1875 "M. GROSSMANN" logo on the dial.

At the heart of the timepiece lies the ultra-flat manufactory calibre 102.1, a hand-wound movement measuring just 4 mm in height and 26 mm in diameter. This compact footprint enables the watch to retain its remarkably elegant, low-profile silhouette. The calibre embodies classic Grossmann pillar movement architecture with a 3/5 plate, incorporating his signature raised gold chatons, an optimized mainspring barrel with bilateral jewel bearings, and a stepped balance cock with a micrometer screw. Each component is meticulously hand-finished to ensure absolute technical and visual distinctiveness.

The defining aesthetic feature of this model is its striking dial, which boasts a rare "silver-plated by friction" finish. Executed entirely by hand in the brand's ateliers, a master artisan brushes a specialized paste of silver powder, salt, cream of tartar, and water onto the brass surface to create a velvety, fine-grained texture that beautifully diffuses light. To provide a contemporary contrast, the numerals, minute scale, and historic logo are rendered in a vibrant green hue. Hovering above are extraordinarily fine, hand-crafted lance-shaped hands, polished in gold for the yellow gold model and annealed to a brown-violet tone for the white gold edition. Each variation is strictly limited to just 12 pieces worldwide.

Independent manufacture Romain Gauthier has unveiled its latest horological evolution with the release of the C by Romain Gauthier Titanium Edition 39.5. This new iteration introduces a highly anticipated, more compact 39.5 mm Grade 5 titanium case designed to sit effortlessly on a broader range of wrist sizes. Technically astute, the timepiece is equipped with a clever stop-seconds mechanism that uses a snail cam—a nod to the brand’s acclaimed Logical One. Pulling out the crown stops the balance wheel, while pushing it back in prompts the snail cam to turn, delivering an active impulse to help the movement start beating again instantly.
