Arnold & Son introduces a radiant new chapter in feminine watchmaking with the Perpetual Moon 38 White Gold Aventurine Edition. Limited to just 18 pieces, this poetic timepiece captures the magic of moonlight and the brilliance of the stars.

Encased in 18-carat white gold, the 38 mm watch features a dial crafted from blue aventurine glass, evoking a starlit sky. The bezel, lugs, and crown are adorned with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds, while 12 marquise-cut diamonds mark the hours. At its heart lies a mother-of-pearl moon disc, framed by hand-painted constellations of Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, enhanced with Super-LumiNova for a celestial glow.

The brand selected only genuine ruby exhibiting depth of colour, fine inclusions, and naturally occurring variations—features that are not flaws but signatures of authenticity, shaped by geological processes over millions of years. As light moves across the dial, subtle tonal shifts appear, infusing the watch with a vibrant mineral presence that contrasts strikingly with the symmetry and modernity of the exposed mechanics.

Beyond its visual impact, this edition embodies ARMIN STROM’s belief that materials must carry meaning. Inspired by the original handless Digiteur introduced in the early 2000s by founder Gerd-Rüdiger Lang, this edition transforms a radical mechanical rebellion into a sculpted gold masterpiece. Housed in a tailored 48mm x 30mm rectangular case made from solid 5N gold (65g) and completely hand-engraved at the Atelier Lucerne, the watch depicts Chronos—the ancient Greek god of time—holding a mythological hourglass.

Rather than utilizing a traditional dial, the watch seamlessly integrates three precise apertures into the sculpted gold scene. The passage of time is visually poetized: the jumping hour appears in Chronos’ scythe at 12 o'clock, the sweeping minute disc flows through the upper chamber of the hourglass, and the continuous seconds rotate below in the lower chamber. Encircling the entire case and printed inside the black nubuck strap is a classic Greek meander pattern, an ancient symbol representing eternity and the infinite flow of time

At the heart of this handless digital regulator is the hand-wound Chronoswiss Caliber C.85757, equipped with an in-house developed jumping hour module. Visible through the rectangular sapphire crystal caseback, the movement operates at 3 Hz with a 48-hour power reserve and features exquisite rhodium plating, radial Côte de Genève, and hand-guilloché wheel bridges executed in Lucerne.
