A Dial That Captures Light and Time
The dial is the face of a watch — a canvas where heritage meets artistry. For the first time, the BENU Power Reserve combines its signature linear power reserve indicator with Azurage decoration. This intricate guilloché pattern of ultra-fine concentric grooves animates the outer chapter ring, creating a captivating interplay of light. The softly textured matte center in shimmering argenté silver contrasts with applied blue numerals and indices, while the brand logo and minute track appear in understated grey.

Completing this refined composition are newly designed hands, handcrafted from steel in the Glashütte atelier. Each hand is meticulously beveled, polished, and then heat-blued using traditional thermal treatment. Their elegant curvature and needle-fine tips exemplify the precision and artistry that define Moritz Grossmann.

The Poetry of Mechanics: Power Reserve Indicator
Mechanical timepieces invite interaction, and the power reserve display is a charming expression of this dialogue. Positioned beneath 12 o’clock, the linear indicator reveals a two-tone bar driven by a differential gear train. When fully wound, the bar appears white; as energy diminishes, a blue segment gradually advances — a subtle yet constant reminder of the living mechanism on the wrist.

Inside the Case: Calibre 100.2
At the heart of the BENU Power Reserve beats the Calibre 100.2, an evolution of the manufacture’s foundational movement. This hand-wound calibre incorporates a differential mechanism for the power reserve display and features the brand’s signature innovations: manual winding with a pusher, a cantilevered balance cock with micrometer screw adjustment, and a separately removable winding module. Through the sapphire crystal back, the movement reveals its artistry — broad Glashütte ribbing, hand-engraved cocks, and raised gold chatons secured by blued screws.

The BENU Power Reserve is offered in rose gold and white gold, each with a 41 mm case that reflects the brand’s commitment to timeless proportions. Rendered for the first time in a 39 mm 18K rose‑gold case, the timepiece introduces a warm and elegant reinterpretation of the brand’s technically driven design language. Limited to 50 pieces worldwide, this edition pairs the Maison’s signature resonance innovation with a rich new aesthetic personality, blending contemporary elegance with mechanical sophistication.

A New Expression of Design & Craftsmanship
The new Rose Gold edition distinguishes itself through its interplay of warm tones and finely executed textures. The 18K rose‑gold case forms a glowing frame around the black‑gold grenage dial, a surface enriched by depth, contrast, and granular refinement. The dial’s twin layouts—each dedicated to one time zone—are clearly defined by black azurage chapter rings, ensuring intuitive reading while maintaining the balanced symmetry that defines the Resonance line. The rose‑gold‑coloured, faceted and polished hands, together with matching applied indexes, elevate the aesthetic with a luxurious brightness. At six o’clock on each sub‑dial, polished and blackened steel sun-and-moon day/night discs add functional clarity and a poetic visual touch. Operating at 3.5 Hz (25,200 vph) and offering a 42‑hour power reserve, the ARF22 movement brings a dynamic, kinetic quality to the dial, where the twin oscillators interact in real time. The aesthetic presentation of the movement reflects haute horlogerie values, with meticulous hand‑polished bevels, black‑polished steel components, circular graining, perlage, and Côtes de Genève on full display through sapphire crystals on both sides. Mystical, untamed and dazzling, the Perpetual Moon 41.5 Red Gold “Year of the Horse” follows in the footsteps of Arnold & Son’s Chinese zodiac collections. In the year spanning 2026 and 2027, the Fire Horse will set the astrological tone for connoisseurs of watchmaking and métiers d’art. To celebrate this flamboyant sign, Arnold & Son presents a limited edition of eight pieces, housed in 41.5-mm red gold cases. And while the noble animal is ever alert, it is at night that the full extent of its fiery, mysterious and incandescent nature is revealed.

A horse rears on a hill top – a commanding silhouette carved out against a star-studded sky, surrounded by the sparks of a metaphorical fire. This is Arnold & Son’s interpretation of the Fire Horse, the sign that will succeed the Wood Snake on 17 February 2026. For the sixth consecutive year, Arnold & Son is back in the saddle, drawing on the full breadth of its artistic savoir-faire. Miniature painting, three-dimensional engraving, fine stonework and the refined finishing of an astronomical moon-phase calibre: the Perpetual Moon 41.5 Red Gold “Year of the Horse” tells a tale of excellence, symbolism and vital energy.

An ardent design
Behind the expressive power of the scene, lies all of Arnold & Son’s creativity and mastery. The horse, in 18-carat red gold appliqué, is hand engraved. From hooves to mane, every muscle seems to ripple with energy. The black aventurine sky shimmers like a vast, celestial expanse, where distant stars mingle with mountainous reliefs and shadowy woodland undergrowth.

In the horse’s wake, hand-painted golden dust evokes a trail of sparks that ignite one after the other as the animal passes. These glowing flashes reflect its inner fire and untamed spirit. Touches of red and yellow Super-LumiNova, diffusing the same nocturnal shades, transform the scene as the light dims. Under the radiant mother-of-pearl moon, the horse’s majestic silhouette stands out, while the embers smoulder with new intensity. Not far away, the constellations of Cassiopeia and Ursa Major take shape on the lunar disc, completing this dual-faced, dual-display dial.

A noble pedigree
On the case back, a secondary moon-phase display enables fast, accurate setting of the lunar age. The heart of the Perpetual Moon 41.5 Red Gold “Year of the Horse”, the manual winding A&S1512 calibre, follows the lunar cycle with exceptional precision. While a true lunation lasts 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.8 seconds, Arnold & Son have achieved such precision that it would take 122 years for the display to drift by a single day from the actual lunar cycle, provided the watch is kept fully wound.

As for all Arnold & Son movements, the A&S1512 calibre is developed, manufactured, decorated, assembled, adjusted and cased up at the Chaux-de-Fonds manufacture. Equipped with two barrels and beating at 3 Hz, it gives the Perpetual Moon 41.5 Red Gold “Year of the Horse” a generous power reserve of 90 hours.
