This distinctive colour, deeply rooted in the history of the independent manufacture and inherited from founder Armin Strom himself, now extends beyond the dial and into the movement itself. Expressed through the newly released Orbit Midnight Purple, the signature midnight purple fumé dial remains at the centre of the composition, paired for the first time with a frosted midnight purple mainplate beneath to strengthen the visual connection between display and mechanics.

Powering the watch is the manufacture Calibre ASS20, developed and produced entirely in-house around the world's first on-demand date display on a ceramic bezel. This innovative mechanism rethinks the relationship between wearer and complication by displaying the date only when requested. Activated by a pusher at 10 o'clock, the date hand moves from its neutral position to indicate the current date on the bezel and advances automatically at midnight. A second press returns it discreetly to 12 o'clock, leaving the dial free from unnecessary information.

Beyond its avant-garde functionality, the timepiece focuses heavily on exceptional visual details. Hand-polished steel hands and applied hour markers are filled with Super-LumiNova®, complemented by signature numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock crafted from solid Super-LumiNova® blocks that create a striking visual presence after dark. Housed in a 43.4 mm stainless steel case framed by a black ceramic bezel, the timepiece is completed by a fully integrated stainless steel bracelet, delivering a cohesive fusion of modern sports-luxury and unique aesthetics.

Greubel Forsey has officially released the Nano Foudroyante, a groundbreaking timepiece that blends cutting-edge nanomechanics with refined craftsmanship. Limited to just 22 pieces, this watch marks a major milestone for the brand, evolving from its earlier Experimental Watch Technology (EWT) concept into a fully developed and independent creation.

The Nano Foudroyante is crafted entirely in white gold and features a rhodium-finished dial with a blue minute track, blued steel hands, and a white foudroyante dial for enhanced legibility. A blue textured rubber strap completes the look, giving the watch a modern and sporty edge.

What sets this timepiece apart is its use of nanomechanics—a revolutionary approach that allows the foudroyante complication to operate using just 16 nanojoules of energy per jump. That’s 1,800 times less than traditional designs. The complication divides each second into six parts, with a red-treated hand rotating once per second, driven directly by the balance wheel. The establishment of HHDR in Tolochenaz brings together a team of watchmakers, designers and engineers in a collaborative, idea‑driven environment. HHDR is conceived as a living laboratory — a place where experimentation, shared expertise and long‑term exploration shape new forms of contemporary horology.

Pulse60 — A New Mechanical Language
At the heart of the Pulse60 is the newly developed BUA2024 movement, which embraces an ultra‑low 1 Hz frequency — just one oscillation per second, echoing the natural rhythm of the human heart. This approach reduces escapement shocks and disturbances, transforming time measurement into a slower, more embodied rhythm.
