Moonlight illuminates a botanical green dial. The “Fern Green” version of Perpetual Moon 41.5 borrows the cool tones of the moon. The paleness of the platinum, the freshness of the fern green, and the midnight blue of the sky create an original flow of colours.

Maturity, diversity and mechanical exclusivity: the Perpetual Moon collection is constantly being enriched with new creations, consistently reaffirming the watchmaking and artistic talents of Arnold & Son. Following two other editions, one with salmon pink accents and another in sky blue, Perpetual Moon 41.5 Platinum is now available in this limited fern green version of 28 timepieces.

Its hue is inspired by the unique colour of the fern, an undergrowth plant found in abundance in the English gardens of Cornwall, the county where John Arnold was born.

Shimmering
The “Stellar Rays” finish enlivens the dial with a sophisticated shimmer. This aesthetic is achieved through cleverly irregular engraving. Various depths and widths of rays coexist and follow on from one another, creating a unique rhythm. Their succession produces a fluctuating play of light, accentuated by the depth created by several layers of transparent lacquer.

Realistically depicted and set against a grained sky with a midnight blue PVD treatment, the large white mother-of-pearl moon is also overlaid with Super-LumiNova. Invisible by day, this added colour gives it a whole new face by night.

Compass
Following in the tradition of the Perpetual Moon collection, the moon is surrounded by Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, both hand-painted and overlaid with luminescent material. The choice of these star patterns is an allusion to the history of marine chronometer-maker John Arnold.

These two constellations have always served as landmarks in the night sky. Halfway between the two easily identifiable groups is Polaris. Its position always shows the north and its elevation angle can be used to estimate the distance from the equator, i.e. the latitude. Before the invention of instruments to determine the longitude, it was the most reliable measure of a ship’s position at sea.

Accuracy
On the case back, a secondary display of the phases of the moon allows fast and accurate adjustment of the moon age. The manually-wound A&S1512 calibre that powers it is able to track its phases with exceptional accuracy. The total duration of a lunar cycle is 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.8 seconds. Arnold & Son has approached this so closely that it would take 122 years for this movement, if constantly wound up, to accumulate a 24-hour discrepancy between the display and astronomical reality.

Like all Arnold & Son’s movements, the A&S1512 calibre was entirely developed, produced, decorated, assembled, adjusted and cased up at the manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This calibre uses two barrels and has an oscillation frequency of 3 Hz, giving a 90-hour power reserve.

Perpetual Moon 41.5 Red Gold “Year of the Snake” - A charming snake

According to the traditional Chinese calendar, 2025 is the Year of the Wooden Snake and will be ruled by the words perspicacity, intelligence and prudence. In its honour, Arnold & Son is creating Perpetual Moon 41.5 “Year of the Snake”: a series of eight timepieces in red gold. Combining a manufacture calibre with a large astronomical moon – one of its specialities – with an aventurine glass dial base – one of its signatures – and a wealth of delicately worked artistic crafts – one of its recurring themes – Arnold & Son presents a masterful interpretation of the Year of the Snake.

The Year of the Wooden Snake starts on 29 January 2025. Under this element, the reptile foretells transformation and a need for self-improvement, combined with energy and introspection. Debuting on April 29, 2026, this launch presents an exclusive premiere for collectors—the very first time that the sleek TEFNUT model is made available in a stunning 750/000 yellow gold case, alongside a 750/000 white gold version. Both variations pay homage to their heritage by incorporating an "1826" engraving on the balance cock and showcasing a vintage 1875 "M. GROSSMANN" logo on the dial.

At the heart of the timepiece lies the ultra-flat manufactory calibre 102.1, a hand-wound movement measuring just 4 mm in height and 26 mm in diameter. This compact footprint enables the watch to retain its remarkably elegant, low-profile silhouette. The calibre embodies classic Grossmann pillar movement architecture with a 3/5 plate, incorporating his signature raised gold chatons, an optimized mainspring barrel with bilateral jewel bearings, and a stepped balance cock with a micrometer screw. Each component is meticulously hand-finished to ensure absolute technical and visual distinctiveness.

The defining aesthetic feature of this model is its striking dial, which boasts a rare "silver-plated by friction" finish. Executed entirely by hand in the brand's ateliers, a master artisan brushes a specialized paste of silver powder, salt, cream of tartar, and water onto the brass surface to create a velvety, fine-grained texture that beautifully diffuses light. To provide a contemporary contrast, the numerals, minute scale, and historic logo are rendered in a vibrant green hue. Hovering above are extraordinarily fine, hand-crafted lance-shaped hands, polished in gold for the yellow gold model and annealed to a brown-violet tone for the white gold edition. Each variation is strictly limited to just 12 pieces worldwide.

Waxing, gibbous, blue: the power of the moon imposes itself on the Earth and even more so, on the seas. Perpetual Moon 38 Night Tide celebrates the fluctuating pull of this celestial body on the water. A large moon disc appears over vast waves. Made of mother-of-pearl and ruthenium, they rise one after the other in a cascade of soft curves. This scene, illuminated by diamonds, celebrates the femininity, elegance and evocative power of Arnold & Son’s watchmaking.

Powerful and plentiful, the waves of Perpetual Moon 38 Night Tide herald heavy seas. In the blue of the night, the tide is at its highest, and so are the rollers. The moon, capricious and triumphant, imposes its will. The gradations of the water are topped with a sparkling foam. Beneath the peaceful light of Selene, the ocean rages on.

Arnold & Son interprets this powerfully symbolic scene through mechanisms and minerals. The astronomical moon complication of Perpetual Moon 38 Night Tide is adorned in mother-of-pearl and ruthenium: a delicate, evocative composition that fully expresses the dial-makers’ expertise. The mother-of-pearl marquetry, ruthenium crystal inlays and abundance of diamonds symbolise the painstaking care lavished on the women's collections of Switzerland’s most English brand.

Angelus Unveils Flying Tourbillon Skeleton Titanium in Vivid Orange

Angelus unveils the Flying Tourbillon Skeleton Titanium, Orange Edition, a vivid expression of horological energy and design. Limited to just 25 pieces, this timepiece transforms skeletonised mechanics into a canvas of colour and contrast. The satin-finished titanium case frames a deep black movement, animated by bright orange accents that highlight the time display and extend to three interchangeable straps. Every detail of this 42.5 mm watch reflects a unique energy. Chromatic energy flows through the orange highlights. Customisable energy is offered by the quick-release strap system, allowing seamless transitions between black alligator leather, orange rubber, and integrated titanium. Light energy emerges from the skeletonised movement, while structural energy is revealed in the layered construction. Graphic energy is embodied in the three-dimensional architecture of the A-310 calibre.

The dial features a floating orange minute track above a black flange, with hour markers crafted for the first time by Angelus in monolithic blocks of Super-LumiNova. At the heart of the case lies a carbon composite chamber, lightweight yet rigid, surrounded by a modular titanium cage that enhances stability and mechanical appeal.

Supported by a 160° angled bridge, this asymmetrical design intensifies visual tension and balance. The tourbillon completes a rotation every minute, oscillates at 4 Hz, and offers a 60-hour power reserve. DANIEL ROTH proudly presents the Tourbillon Platinum, a timepiece that pays homage to the brand’s rich heritage and its founder’s enduring passion for the tourbillon complication. This exceptional creation is inspired by the 1988 reference C187 and reinterprets it with modern refinement, artisanal craftsmanship, and a noble platinum case.

The signature double-ellipse case, now crafted in platinum, measures 38.6 x 35.5 mm and is just 9.2 mm thick. It houses a hand-guilloché dial made of solid white gold, finished in anthracite and accented with a sterling silver chapter ring. The dial’s linear guilloché pattern is executed by a single Maître Guillocheur over three days, reflecting the brand’s commitment to traditional métiers d’art.

Inside beats the DR001 calibre, a manually wound movement developed by Michel Navas and Enrico Barbasini at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. Comprising 206 components, it offers an 80-hour power reserve and operates at 3Hz. The movement is entirely hand-finished, including hidden components, and features a triple-arm seconds hand—a nod to Daniel Roth’s original design language.

The Tourbillon Platinum is the third model in the brand’s rebirth, following the Tourbillon Souscription and the rose gold edition. It offers a more contemporary aesthetic while remaining faithful to the brand’s DNA of mechanical excellence and elegant restraint.
