Moritz Grossmann, renowned for its exquisite craftsmanship and precision in watchmaking, proudly announces the launch of the ART EDITION Max Frintrop. This exclusive collection features sixteen unique timepieces, each showcasing a dial crafted from the top layers of renowned German painter Max Frintrop’s studio floor.

A Fusion of Art and Horology
The ART EDITION Max Frintrop marks the first collaboration between Moritz Grossmann and a contemporary artist. Each dial in this collection captures years of artistic expression, resulting in a mesmerizing display of abstract beauty. The intricate layers of paint, preserved from Frintrop’s studio floor, create a unique and captivating design for each watch.

Craftsmanship and Innovation
At the heart of each timepiece is the calibre 100.1 movement, a testament to Moritz Grossmann’s commitment to quality and precision. Components made from untreated German silver, a hand-engraved 2/3 plate, and the distinctive Grossmann balance are just a few of the features that highlight the exceptional craftsmanship of these watches.

Exclusive Design and Limited Availability
Each watch is engraved with “Unique Piece” on the case back and is available in rose gold or stainless-steel cases. Complemented by different-colored Kudu leather straps, these timepieces are as stylish as they are unique. Max Frintrop’s signature is discreetly engraved on the glass back, adding a personal touch to each piece.

A Philosophical Exploration of Time
This collaboration explores the concept of time through both art and watchmaking. Christine Hutter, CEO of Moritz Grossmann, explains, “The heart of a watch is the balance. It can be seen as philosophical proof that a watch is not just a timepiece, but also a constant reminder that our understanding of time is both fleeting and infinite.”
 

Matt and refined with vintage style: Instrument de Vitesse presents the purest expression of a chronograph, with no sub-counters. The collection sets the tone with its Indianapolis blue and Silverstone grey dials. Its finely printed tachymeter scale is dedicated to speed and is as functional as a dashboard instrument.

Things are not always what they seem. At first glance, Instrument de Vitesse could be a highly refined three-hand watch. Only its discreet tachymeter scale, printed on the edge of the dial, and its name point us in the right direction: this is a chronograph designed for short bursts, an instrument for measuring average speed over a maximum period of 60 seconds. The purpose of the button on the crown thus becomes clear: a single push-piece that triggers the slender direct-drive central seconds hand.

For the final titanium 41mm, three-hands limited edition with rubber strap, Romain Gauthier presents a timepiece with a partially open dial, unveiling a portion of the entirely hand-decorated movement.

C by Romain Gauthier Titanium Editions are modern timepieces with a sporty design that encloses a titanium movement whose hand-finishing prowess can be admired on the case-back. This time Romain wanted the stunning features of this movement to be easily visible just by looking at the watch, even when worn. By opening the dial, he reveals the beauty of the mechanism inside, bringing a technical aesthetic to this timepiece, which until now has featured a full dial.

This partially open dial is particularly reminiscent of the history of the brand's very first timepiece, the Prestige HM, which evolved to reveal the seconds-hand mechanism on its sister caliber, the Prestige HMS.

Unveiled in 2021, the C by Romain Gauthier caliber was the result of more than 16 years of know-how acquired through the brand's development and its manufacture, while reflecting Romain's creative freedom with a modern and youthful design.

Technical in nature, casual in style and free in spirit, the Freedom collection has enabled the creation of this contemporary caliber. The significance of C by Romain Gauthier lies in its creative approach to reinforce the notions of continuity with its concept and design, in reference to the Continuum. Reflecting a vision of the future for a timepiece which is part of Romain Gauthier's philosophy, and which opens the door to new horizons.

During its creation, it was clear to Romain that the case had to harmonize with the movement. It had to be contemporary and uncluttered. But not only that – comfort, ergonomics and the choice of materials also contributed to the design of this timepiece with the decision to use Grade 5 titanium. The dial, in sapphire for this edition, adds to the consistency of the piece and evokes a sense of continuity, as no circle completes the time indication.

Inspired by the finger bridges style, the design of the movement follows the watchmaking history of the Vallée de Joux but with a modern approach, reflecting Romain’s vision of the evolution of tradition.

Romain Gauthier presents the sixth edition of the caliber in titanium in a limited edition of 88-pieces and engraved “1 of 88” on the back of each movement.

Its new case, with a diameter of 41.5 mm and a thickness of 8.4 mm, presents the flying tourbillon calibre in its purest expression. The Ultrathin Tourbillon Skeleton collection, adorned in red gold or platinum, is issued in two limited series featuring 28 watches apiece. Arnold & Son continues its tour of the Ultrathin Tourbillon collection. The A&S8320 calibre unveils its curves, apertures and details within a 41.5 mm case in either red gold (5N) or platinum (PT 950), each released in a run of 28 timepieces. Encased in this precious housing, Arnold & Son’s flying tourbillon stands out for its finesse and precision. Finesse, because at just 3.3 mm thick, it is one of the slimmest skeleton tourbillon calibres in existence. Precision, because this one-minute flying tourbillon is assembled with a variable-inertia balance for enhanced calibration stability.
